Decaffeinated: Coffee Color Palette

It’s 6 o’clock in the morning and I’m craving for coffee. So while my coffee is being brewed, I quickly came up with this color palette. The combination of dark and light browns are perfect for designs related to coffee or chocolates. So use this palette to create branding materials for a coffee shop.


Purple Color Combination Inspired by Amethyst


A purple variety of quartz Amethyst is a popular semi-precious stone that is often used in jewelry. When worn as jewelry, the stone is believed to protect its owner from drunkenness. The ancient Greeks wore amethyst and made drinking vessels decorated with it in the belief that it would prevent intoxication. Amethyst is the traditional birthstone for February.


Match Sticks: Dark Blue Color Palette


Who would have thought that matchsticks could be a source of color inspiration? If you need a color palette for designing something with a masculine theme or for something formal such as a corporate website, then this palette is for you. It combines dark blues to almost black hues with lighter shades of gray. Inspired by matchsticks, this color combination is perfect for a minimalist websites or interiors. You may also use these hues in your branding projects. These colors are very formal, thus ideal for corporate branding. So here, I am sharing a color palette inspired by matchsticks.


Bright Red Color Palette: Radishes

Again, nature is the best source for color inspiration. I am not referring to the bright colored fruits and flowers. Vegetables can be colorful too! Just looking at these red radishes makes me happy. The bright red tones found in this vegetable are very fascinating and I think it would be nice to use them in my designs. Hmmm… how about creating a brochure for a restaurant using the hues found in radishes? If you are also enticed with these red tones, then this post is for you. Color Palette: Purple Brown Hues of Garlic

At first glance, you will never think of garlic as a source of color inspiration. But today, we are going to change that. The purples and browns found in garlic would make a very nice color scheme for a website, a layout of a magazine or book, or perhaps, a color scheme for a bedroom or a family room. The browns combined with very subtle grays can create a very harmonious effect. Use purple as highlight in this color palette.
